Brooklyn pathways - Street photography

See all the photos in this series at Picasa.

Urban Pathways is a series of photographs of people in four cities: Montreal, Paris, Brooklyn and Hiroshima.

The third city I explored was Brooklyn, New York. On June 23, 2005, I walked from the home of my friend the photographer Jeremy Patlen in Boerum Hill to the home of other friends in Prospect Heights. I set out from Dean Street at the corner of Smith Street, and arrived a few hours later at Prospect Place at the corner of Vanderbilt Avenue.

The walk between these two neighborhoods in Brooklyn usually takes 30 minutes, but on this day I went more slowly so I could observe the people around me more closely.

The map below shows the approximate path I followed.
