Twin Lakes - The water meets sky

Twin Lakes

In summer 2005 I visited my sister at her home in Whitehorse, Yukon. While I was there we took a four-day road trip to Dawson City, six hours north of Whitehorse on Route 2. Dawson City is on the Yukon River and was the center of the Klondike Gold Rush in 1898.

On our drive back to Whitehorse, we stopped for a swim at the Twin Lakes campground. The cool water of the lake reflected the blue of the sky well into the long summer evening.

The photograph Twin Lakes is on display until July 6, 2009 at Ça décoiffe, a barber shop in Montreal. Barber Daniel Haché organizes monthly group exhibitions at his haircutting salon on Papineau Avenue. The theme of the current show is Spirit of nature.

Ça décoiffe is located at 4526 Papineau Avenue (map) next to La Tulipe. Feel free to drop in to view Twin Lakes and the photographs of the other participants in the show.

The barber shop is open Thursday (9:00-6:00), Friday (12:00-8:00), Saturday (9:00-4:00), Sunday (10:00-5:00) and Monday (9:00-6:00).

You're welcome to attend the opening of the next show. The openings are always on the night of the full moon! The next opening will be on July 7, 2009 at 9:00 PM.
