Gilford & Villeneuve - Graffiti and light
February 17, 2011

I shot these pictures while I was walking home from work last night. I got off the metro at the Laurier station and meandered along Gilford Street and Villeneuve Street. I often find myself drawn to graffiti and last night was no exception. It was a challenge to photograph with street lamps as my only source of light, and my hands eventually got pretty cold too. But I liked the interplay of the paint with the wall surfaces. And the lamp behind the curtain looked like a real source of comfort and security on a winter night.
