C'est comme de la musique

Montreal's Place des Arts has a newly redesigned entrance hall. It's called the Espace culturel Georges-Émile Lapalme, in honor of Quebec's first minister of culture. The centerpiece of the hall is a video wall with specially commissioned multimedia projections. They're mesmerizingly beautiful. I photographed the wall in June 2011.

The photograph "Place des Arts video wall 2" is in the current group show at Ça décoiffe, a barber shop run by Daniel Haché on Papineau Avenue. The theme of the exhibition is "C'est comme de la musique / It's like music." The show continues until July 14, 2011.

Ça décoiffe is located at 4526 Papineau Avenue, just above Mont Royal Avenue.

Business hours at Ça decoiffe are: Monday (9:00-6:00), Thursday (9:00-6:00), Friday (12:00-8:00), Saturday (9:00-4:00) and Sunday (10:00-5:00).

There's always a full range of perspectives in the shows at Ça décoiffe. Drop in and take a look!
