Yanaka - Temple district

While I was in Tokyo in June I spent a morning in the temple disrict in Yanaka, which is part of Taito Ward. The weather was overcast and at one point it started to rain. A few people were out doing errands and one or two were visiting gravesites. For an hour or so I explored the pathways of the quiet cemeteries, observing the tributes that the living have created to honor the dead.
