Younes El Moustir - Entertainer
July 7, 2011
Younes El Moustir is a Montreal comedian who also hosts cultural events in and around the city. I photographed him in Maisonneuve Park in early June 2011 and asked him a few questions about his career as an entertainer.
When did you make people laugh for the first time?
It was at parties with friends when I was 15 or 16 years old.
What was your most recent comedy show?
The Couscous Comedy Show at Café Campus in Montreal
What's the most recent show you hosted?
I made cocktails on the Cocktail show on Vox TV.
How does an audience influence your performance?
I always prepare the content of a show based on knowledge of the audience but I always make sure to be myself and have fun.
What humorist do you admire?
Gad Elmaleh. I also like Éric Salvail, the TV host of Dieu merci and Fidèle au poste.
What's your main project this year?
To host my own TV show. I'd also like to host bigger events in bigger venues in front of bigger audiences!
What social media do you use?
Facebook and email: animationyouyou@hotmail.com

Great shot Bill! I've always loved portraits without dead-on eyelines.
