David Hockney's exhibition "The Arrival of Spring, Normandy, 2020" at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2022 inspired me to observe the natural world around me more closely. As I left the exhibition and stepped outside, I looked up and saw clouds floating above the canopy of the Art Institute's Modern Wing, designed by Renzo Piano. As I continued my exploration of Chicago's urban landscape over the next two days, I discovered other architectural and sculptural features interacting with the constantly changing clouds above me.
